The Career Guidance and Placement Cell of the college serves as a vital support system in shaping the career paths of students, especially in a rural educational setting. With a focus on bridging the gap between academia and industry, the cell equips students with the necessary skills, knowledge, and exposure to compete in today’s dynamic job market. The cell provides career counselling, organizes training programs, and facilitates campus recruitment drives, ensuring that students are well-prepared for both employment and higher education opportunities.

Objectives:

· To provide career counselling and mentorship to students in choosing the right career path.

· To organize training in soft skills, communication, resume writing, and interview techniques.

· To invite companies for campus placements and job fairs.

· To promote awareness of competitive exams and higher education avenues.

· To build industry linkages and internship opportunities.

Key Functions:

· Career Counselling Sessions: One-on-one and group counselling sessions with internal and external experts to help students explore career options.

· Training Programs: Workshops on aptitude, reasoning, group discussions, personality development, digital skills, and professional ethics.

· Placement Drives: Coordination with companies to conduct campus interviews and recruitment events.

· Internships & Industrial Visits: Facilitating hands-on exposure and field experience through internships and industry interactions.

· Alumni Networking: Utilizing the alumni base for career mentoring, guidance talks, and referrals.

· Information Hub: Providing timely updates on job openings, competitive exams, scholarships, and entrance exams for higher studies.

Achievements:

· Successfully conducted campus placements in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 in collaboration with reputed companies and local industries.

· Organized skill development programs in association with APSSDC initiatives.

· Students selected for roles in various sectors like police, retail, banking, BPOs, teaching, and IT-enabled services.

· Collaborations with nearby colleges and universities for joint placement drives and career expos.

Guidance Focus Areas:

· Government Jobs: Awareness sessions on UPSC, SSC, APPSC, Group Services, Banking, and Railway Exams.

· Higher Studies: Guidance for PG entrance exams like ICET, PGCET, and career opportunities after graduation.

· Self-Employment: Motivation towards entrepreneurship, local business initiatives, and start-up ideas with basic guidance.
